摘要
Veteran Artists Tell the History of Peking OperaPeking Opera has added a glorious chapter to the history of Chinese arts in the course of two hundred years of development. In this issue, the magazine features five veter- an Peking Opera artists with different backgrounds and experiences： ＂Fan Yuanshou, Ban Shichao, Sun Guoliang, Wu Yuzhang and Zhu Jinhua. Their life experiences and artistic careers, stating from the early 20th century up to now, reflect their persistent continuation of Peking Opera traditions and bold innovation in the new era. Stories behind these prominent artists demonstrate not only their unusual talent and wisdom but also the richness of the classical art of Peking Opera.
