Tao Xingzhi is not only a great educator and a social activist,but also a talented popular poet. He is an active participant,practitioner and promoter of New Poetry Movement. His poems stirred lots of social reaction,and influenced positively in New Poetry Movement. However,his poems have been undervalued by the mainstream of literature. The poems of Tao have high artistic value,great social value,particular literary history value,and profound practical significance,thus they should take a place in the history of modern poetry. The study of the value of poems written by Tao does not only serve to restore the history,but to provide reference for the current poetry which is at its bottom.
