Citizen Journalists: Its Development Dilemma,Connotation and the Development Path

互联网催生了公民记者,公民记者虽然改变了传统传播的生态,但也无法摆脱其负面性,即便是纳入专业化传播也无法避免。本文回到公共领域概念的源头,重新思考公民记者的内涵,而不是仅仅从媒介技术发展的角度理解这一角色。公民记者不应该是凑巧碰到新闻发生的个体,而是具有公共意识,报道公共议题,且具备专业传播能力的公民。新媒体进入新一轮的"内容为王"态势,这给公民记者带来了可持续发展空间。公民记者的发展,需要从个体、平台和社会资本三方路径去努力。

The internet has spawned citizen journalists who have subverted the traditional communication ecology.However,there is no way to get rid of their negative effects,even getting them into the professional communication.This paper reconsiders the connotation of citizen journalists based on the public domain source rather than only from the view of the development of media technology. Citizen journalists should not be the individuals that happened to witness and contact with news,but be those who have public awareness and professional communication ability.The new media has entered a new round of content-supreme situation,which brings sustainable development space for citizen journalists. The development approach of citizen journalists should consider the following three elements:individuals,platform and social capital.
