摘要
为了降低光接收机的复杂度,利用掺铒光纤放大器的增益饱和特性,在接收前先用掺铒光纤放大器对时分复用无源光网络上行信号进行光功率均衡,以减小光接收机接收的光功率变化量,并通过测试眼图评估光功率均衡器对上行光信号传输质量的影响。实验结果表明,从-16dBm至-26dBm的上行光功率经过掺铒光纤放大器均衡后能变换成大约3dB功率变化量输出,还可改善上行光信号质量。
In order to reduce the complexity of optical receiver, by using the gain saturation characteristics of Erbium-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA), the optical power of upstream traffic in time-divisionmultiplexing passive optical network (TDM-PON) is equalized with EDFA, and the variation of optical power is reduced before the receiver. The influence of the power equalizer on the transmission quality of the upstream traffic is assessed by testing eye diagram. Experimental results show that, about 3dB variation of output power corresponding to the range of -16 to -26dBm upstream input power can be achieved by using the EDFA power equalizer, meanwhile the quality of the upstream traffic is improved simultaneously.
