Indignation is a microcosm of modern family tragedy. Ross displays the conflicts of both outside world and intrapersonal heart from portraying family and social supervision and youngsters＇ resist as well. On the one hand,Ross aims to show the survival predicament of Jewish nation and its tradition through the tragedy,which demonstrates his strong national sense of crisis. On the other hand,Ross attempts to make the historical moment reappear in front of us with his unique literary imagination and guides us to have the old memory come back again and make a historical reflection by paying attention to the desperate suffering of heroes and referring to historical events.
