Building Value Consensus:the Fundamental of Improving National Cultural Soft Power

文化既是一个民族创造力和凝聚力的体现和源泉,也是国家软实力的重要组成部分。核心价值观凝结着全民族全社会的共同价值追求,规定着文化的性质与方向,是民族文化的灵魂与内核,在国家文化软实力中居于核心地位。在新形势下推进社会主义文化强国建设,增强国家文化软实力,要求我们在继续推进社会主义核心价值体系建设的基础上,积极培育和践行社会主义核心价值观,最大限度地凝聚价值共识。

Culture is the embodiment and source of national cohesion and creativity, and also an important part of a country＇s soft power. The core value, intensively reflecting the common value pursuit of the whole nation and society, determining the nature and direction of the culture, is the soul and the core of national culture and therefore occupies the central place in national cultural soft power. Under the new situation, to promote socialist cultural power construction and strengthen cultural soft power require us to refine, cultivate and practice socialist core value and reflect the value consensus based on continuing to promote socialist core value system construction.
