中国城市居民职业地位获得的性别差异研究——父母教育和职业对男女两性教育和职业获得的影响 被引量:8

Study on Gender Differences in Chinese Urban Occupational Status and Attainment——Effect of Parental Education and Occupation Background on Education and Occupational Attainment for Both Sexes

摘要 基于第三次全国妇女地位调查数据,使用路径分析模型研究父母教育、职业对于男女两性教育和职业获得的差异性影响及其在不同历史时期呈现出的差异及其原因,我们发现:在子代教育获得上,父亲的教育、职业对男性的教育获得有更强的影响,母亲的教育、职业对女性的教育获得有更强的影响;在子代职业地位获得上,父亲教育、职业对男女两性职业地位获得的总效应均高于母亲的影响;随着市场化改革的推进,家庭背景对于个体职业地位获得的影响总体上呈现下降趋势。 Based on the survey data of the Third National Status of Women, this paper uses path analysis model to an- alyze the different effect of parental education and occupation on education for both sexes and occupational attainment and its differences and their reasons in different historical periods. We have found that in the offspring's educational attainment, father's education and occupation have a stronger effect for men, while mother's education and occupational background hav- ing a stronger impact on women; in offspring's occupational status attainment, the total effect of father's education and occupational status of women and men are higher than the mother's influence. With the advance of market-oriented reforms, influence from family background has generally tended to decline for individual occupational status attainment.
