英语时制的体貌功能分析——基于二维几何表征的分析框架

The Analysis of the Aspectual Function of English Tense,Based on the Two-dimensional Geometric Representation Framework

以往有关时制与体貌的关系研究认为过去时对应完整体,为观察动貌提供了一个外部视角;现在时对应惯常体,为动貌提供了重复观察的视角。但是,本文在使用Croft提出的二维几何表征对不同动貌类型的动词进行体貌的二维表征分析时发现,英语时制不仅能为不同类型的动貌提供不同的观察视点,并且能够同时改变动词所表征的原始动貌。

The previous study on the relationship between tense and aspectuality held the view that the past tense corresponded the perfective aspect and provided an external perspective to observe the actionality,and present tense corresponded to the habitual perspective and provided repeated perspectives to observe the actionality.However,when we apply the Twodimensional Geometric Representation to the analysis of the aspectual function of the tense,we find that English tense can not only provide different perspectives to observe different kinds of actionalities,but also convert actionalities themselves.
