玄学派与意象派诗歌之比较研究

A Comparative Study of the Metaphysical Poetry and the Imagist Poetry

以邓恩作品为代表的英国玄学派诗歌与以庞德作品为代表的美国意象派诗歌存在很多值得研究的相似点。在意象使用上,他们都喜欢拼接并置;以主题而论,他们都爱标新立异;以创作目的而论,他们都追求情智统一;并且他们都钟情于陌生化手法、口语化的表达和自由的韵律。文学的发展离不开社会环境。当时的社会都处于激烈变革时期,经济、政治、思想等方面的巨大变革影响了两派诗人的诗歌创作,同时两派诗人都具有强烈的反传统意识,他们不满足于陈旧落后的诗歌形式,积极探索实验,找到了适合自己的创作方式,而这种创新精神也使得两派诗人在诗歌创作中产生了诸多相似点。

There are a lot of similarities between the American imagist poetry represented by Ezra Pound and the British metaphysical poetry represented by John Donne.In using images,both schools were fond of juxtaposition;in terms of theme,they both loved to be unconventional and novel;in terms of purpose of creation,they pursued the unification of passion and intellect.And,both schools loved deeply the technique of defamiliarization,colloquial expression and free rhythm.These similarities resulted from similar social background.The societies in which they lived were undergoing great changes.The great changes in economy,politics and ideology influenced the poetic creation of both schools.At the same time,both the imagist poets and metaphysical poets had strong sense of anti-tradition and were not satisfied with the old-fashioned poetic forms.So they explored and made experiments until they each found a new way to express themselves.This spirit of innovation also brought about many similarities in their poetic creation.
