English Professionals Cultivation in Local Application-oriented College——Take Hetao College as an Example

应用型本科院校英语无论从办学历史,办学规模,办学实力,生源质量和社会影响诸多方面都无法与老牌本科院校相比。因此应当认真定位,制定适合自身条件和未来发展方向的人才培养计划,确立以能力为本位的办学思路。本文以河套学院英语专业人才培养为例,探讨从教师层面,部系层面和学校层面全力打造合格英语人才的方法和途径。

The local application-oriented college can＇t compete with the senior college in their history, expansion scale,running capacity, quality of new students and social impact. So the former should carefully position itself and make a talentcultivation plan suitable for its own conditions and directions. A clear schooling thinking around ability standards ought to bedefined. Based on the English professional cultivation in Hetao College, the article advocates the methods and ways to thequalified English talents from the stratums of teacher, teaching department and the college administration.
