Digital Art: An Integration of Technology with Art

科技与艺术分属不同的范式,但二者间却有着源远流长的互动关系。工业革命导致西方思想整一性的破裂,艺术家们试图用艺术来反抗极端的科技理性,从而导致艺术与科技的分野。在信息革命语境下,面对着当代科技的迅猛态势,后现代艺术不得不接受由科学知识构造的认知范式。艺术坦然接受当代科技的馈赠,并享受着二者共谋的狂欢,数码艺术是信息革命语境下科技与艺术的融合的典范。

There is a long history of interaction between the technology and art, though they belong to different paradigms. The industrial revolution destroyed the wholeness of western thoughts. Artists try to use art to resist the extreme scientific and technological rationality which leads to the division of Arts and technology. In the context of the information revolution, in the face of the rapid trend of contemporary technology, post-modern art has to accept the cognitive paradigm constructed by scientific knowledge. Art accepts the gift of contemporary science and technology. Digital art is the model of integration of technology and art under the context of information revolution.
