摘要
语言运作机制是英语基本句式的运作以及基本句式与有限手段构建无限排列组合进而生成无限句子的动态过程,是语言创造性的体现。将语言运作机制运用于英语专业语法教学,采用"呈现—观察—归纳—应用"四步法进行语法教学,引导学生了解英语基本句式的运作手段,辅以基于语言产出的语法练习,加强语法教学与其他英语技能课程的横向联系,提升学生运用语言运作机制进行语言产出的能力,能在一定程度上克服语法的"惰性知识"问题,促进学生语法能力的发展。
The operating mechanism of language is a dynamic system which defines the operating procedure of English basic sentence pattern and reveals the underlying language device for generating the endless sentence and the unlimited sentence set by employing the limited means to specify NP/VP. It manifests the creativity of a language. When the operating mechanism of language is applied to grammar teaching, a four-step approach of "pres- ent-observe-generalize-apply" is adopted to help students understand the operating procedure of English basic sentence pattern. Meanwhile, students are supplemented with grammar exercises focusing on language production and the correlation between grammar teaching and other courses has been built up to improve their competence to use operating mechanism of language to perform language production activities. Therefore, it helps to solve "the inert knowledge problem" and improve students' grammar.
