Fictions can interpret the world through the artistic creation of perceptual images. Close reading of classical English fictions may help enrich college students＇ English knowledge and improve their understanding of English deep culture. But it is crucial for English teachers to choose appropriate fictional texts which are better to build up students＇ cross-cultural awareness.
