科学且符合社会现实需求的办学定位是应用型本科院校提高人才培养质量的前提与关键,也是应用型本科院校形成个性与特色的基础。应用型本科院校应在借鉴德国、奥地利同类高校经验与模式的基础上,以"大应用观、大工程观、大生活观、大文化观"等理念作为重点,把握好应用型本科院校的办学定位,突出应用型本科院校的办学个性与办学特色。

Scientific orientation which can meet the demands of society is the precondition and key of application-oriented colleges and universities to improve the quality of talent cultivation and the foundation to form its unique features and characters. This paper, using the experience of similar institutions in Germany and Austria for reference, emphasizes on the four orientations of ＂grand views of application, grand views of engineering, grand views of life and grand views of culture＂ to reflects the running principles of application-oriented colleges and universities with unique features and characters.
