鼠害是影响农业安全生产的重要因素之一。山西省农田鼠害发生面积为100×104--130×104hm2。目前农区鼠害监测预警系统构建取得了极大进步，开发了鼠害监测数据系统；毒饵站投饵技术在全国得到了广泛应用，杀鼠剂抗性监测主要使用LEF检测法，鼠害的不育控制技术得到了迅速发展，炔雌醚和左炔诺孕酮得到了深入研究；TBS技术在国内许多省得到试验推广，生态治理技术的应用在农田应用较少。
