论芥川龙之介《蜜柑》的题目翻译问题

Discussion upon the Translation of the Title of Mikan from Akutagawa Ryunosuke

《蜜柑》是芥川龙之介创作的短篇私小说,因感情真挚曾入选日本小学国文课本。中文译本一般将其题目译为"橘子""桔子"或"橘"。文章通过还原小说创作背景证实"蜜柑"的真实性,并对小说中出现的"蜜柑"种类进行了考证,得出其为柑而非橘的结论。综合小说中暖心感人的基调,小说的题目翻译应保留"蜜柑"二字。

Mikan is a short private novel from Akutagawa Ryunosuke. Because the novel reflects the true feeling and spirit of the author,it was elected into the textbooks in primary school in Japan. In the Chinese version,the title is usually translated as ＂juzi＂,＂chengzi＂or ＂cheng＂.（ All three words above are Chinese words for the meaning of orange） This passage proves the authenticity of mikan by restoring the background of the novel,and studies the different categories of oranges which appear in the novel. As a result,the passage argues that the mikan actually means the mandarin orange instead of the ordinary orange. Considering the warm and moving atmosphere in the novel,the title shall be translated into Mikan,which is the original title in Japanese version.
