In August of 2014,the Chinese People＇s Liberation Army sent its first team to attend the 47 th World Military Orienteering Championship. This article primarily analyzes the performance of both Chinese and foreign participants because via participating the competition the team not only broadened the horizon,but also realized the gap between us and the professional orienteering teams from northern Europe. Furthermore,the paper studies the chief present problems,proposing specific suggestions to the future development of the orienteering training.
