National literary awards present diversified development trend in the new century. Minority literature awards include both government awards and folk awards. The number of national awards is shrinking,while the amount of local awards and folk awards are increasing. The external influence factors of minority literature awards are market force and special orientation of award units. The internal evaluation standards of minority literature awards are aimed at examining the transformation of ethnic culture from multiple angles and reflecting the new spirit and attitude of ethnic minorities. In the future development of minority literature awards,the artistic level of works should be improved, award characteristics should be fully reflected,the setting of awards should be readjusted and social influence of the awards should be expanded.
