摘要
丰子恺佛教题材绘画作品题材多样,影响深远。无论是他的"护生画",还是"警世漫画"或"绘佛千尊",既回应了20世纪初国内外的素食主义运动与护生文化兴起的背景,根据末劫时代持守及弘扬佛教基本教义的需要,宣传了量力持戒与善护其心的观念,同时也体现出作者绘作这类画的平民化意识。
Feng Zikai's Buddhist drawings have a great variety of themes and a far-reaching influence. They are a response to the emergence of a vegetarian movement at home and abroad and a life- boosting culture at the turn of the 20th century, whether it is his " life-boosting drawings" , " didactic drawings" or " one thousand Buddhas". To propagate dignified behav- ior at the approach of the end of the Buddhist world and spread the fundamental Buddhist doctrines, these drawings urge im- peccable conduct on the part of the believers and their efforts to take good care of their heart, manifesting the painter's con- cern for the common people when he made these drawings.
