翻译伦理视角下2015年政府工作报告的英译研究

On Translation of 2015's Government Work Report Based on Translation Ethics

政府工作报告是国际社会了解中国国情及发展最权威的信息来源,备受世界关注,其翻译对于展现中国的国际形象、赢得国际社会的认同至关重要。报告的翻译实质上是译者受中国政府的委托,向国外受众传达中国声音的行为,是一种人际交往活动。由于该人际交往活动中存在不少文化、政治、意识等冲突,对其协调必然离不开翻译伦理的指导。本文面拟以翻译伦理为视角,探究2015年报告的英译,希望能更加客观、公允地评判译者的翻译行为,并为以后报告的英译研究提供新的视角。

Government Work Report is the most authoritative source of information for the international community to know about the latest conditions and development trend of China, thus attracting the world＇ s attention. Therefore, its English version is crutial for China to show her international image to the world and win the approval from the interna- tional community. The translation of GWR is essentially the action that the translators deliver the information of China entrusted by Chinese government, which can be considered to be an interpersonal interaction. Due to cultural, politi- cal, ideological and other differences existing in this process, translation ethics are needed to coordinate these con- fliets. This paper analyzes the English version of 2015 GWR from the perspective of translation ethics, hoping to judge translators＇ action objectively and to provide a new perspective for future studies on the translation of GWR.
