The Body Perspective in Literary History Writing

伴随着西方现代性的发展,身体成为人们思考自身和世界的出发点。身体时刻都在参与文学的发展,从身体的视角来研究文学和探寻文学史演进的轨迹是可行且应当的。以身体为基点的个人叙事,可以弥补和整合宏大叙事难以顾及的细碎的、边缘的因素,发现新的文学现象;身体与世界互为主体,它是个体与世界的纽带,总是以这样或那样的方式言说生命意义。将身体视角介入文学史书写,既可以让我们感受文学作品中多样化的身体现象,领略文学主体与世界的对话,也可以从文学中身体的境遇勘察社会政治、历史、文化的变迁。

With the development of western modernity, the body becomes the key attention of people to think about themselves and the world. Involved in the literature creation all the time, the body is feasible to be employed in the literature study and trajectory exploration of literature evolution. The personal narrative based on the body can make up and integrate the fragile and marginal factors which the grand narrative can＇t cover, hence a new literary phenomena. The body and the world are the inter-subjective tie that links individuals and the world, always reflecting the meaning of life in one way or the other. In a word, the body perspective in the studies of literary history reveals a variety of physical phenomena in literary works, so the dialogue between the literary subject and the world, and the changes of social politics, history, and culture are presented through the writing of body in literature.
