The development of library service depends on its connotation and theoretical basis. To explore the theoretical basis of library mobile information service can provide a strong support for its smooth development. The article argues that the library mobile information service is a product of the combination of library services and mobile information services. And its main theoretical basis is personalized service theory, information accessibility service theory, user-oriented service theory, fragments of time management theory, instant service theory and ubiquitous information service theory.
