On Xi Jinping's Strategic Thinking of Great Power Economy

党的十八大以来,习近平总书记高屋建瓴地观察国际国内经济形势,遵循"治大国若烹小鲜"的古训,立足发展中大国的基本国情,从中国优秀传统文化中汲取营养,并且运用辩证唯物主义的科学方法进行理性思维,提出了适合中国国情的大国经济发展思路:从独立自主到内生动力的大国自主思维、从科技创新到体制创新的大国创新思维、从统筹谋划到协同推进的大国系统思维、从区域合作到新增长极的大国整合思维、从稳中求进到政贵有恒的大国稳健思维、从多元开放到丝绸之路的大国全球思维、从增长联动到利益融合的大国共赢思维、从平衡经济到重建秩序的大国责任思维。这些分析问题的思路和方法,蕴含着深刻的战略思想,构成了比较系统的大国战略思维。

Since the Party＇s Eighteenth National Congress, General Secretary Xi Jinping has observed the economic situation at home and abroad from a commanding height; adhered to the Chinese old saying ＂governing a big country is as delicate as frying a small fish＂; stayed rooted in China＇s basic condition as a large developing country; learned from the fine traditional culture; used the scientific method of dialectical materialism for rational thinking; and put forward the idea of great power economic development suited to China＇s conditions. The idea consists of the great power independent thinking which shifts away from the former stress on self-reliance toward the emphasis on internal impetus; the great power innovative thinking which shifts away from technological innovation toward institutional innovation; the great power systematical thinking which shifts away from overall planning toward coordinated development; the great power integration thinking shifting away from regional cooperation toward the new growth pole; the great power stability thinking shifting from making progress while maintaining stability toward valuing stability in administering political affairs; the great power global thinking shifting away from diversity and openness toward the Silk Road Program; the great power win-win thinking shifting away from coordinated growth toward integrated interests; and the great power responsibility thinking shifting away from balancing the economy toward reconstructing economic order. These approaches to and methods of analyzing problems contain profound strategic ideas, and constitute the systematic great-power strategic thinking.
