《骈体文钞》并非成书于一时一地,李兆洛历时十四年,遍涉常州、北京、广州、扬州四地,才最终完成编撰。其中李氏校《古文辞类纂》及其交契阮元,是《骈体文钞》成书的重要契机。《骈体文钞》的版本主要有合河康氏家塾原刻本与谭献评校本两大系统。

Summary： The Selections of Parallel Prose was not written all at once, but closely related to the personal life experience of the writer and editor, Zhaoluo. Over fourteen years,Zhaoluo had been to Beijing, ChangZhou, GuangZhou and YangZhou, and finally completed The Selections of Parallel Prose. There were two important incidents which led to the completion of The Selections of Parallel Prose - - One was to proofread The Clas- sifted Anthology of Classical Prose,the other was befriending with Yuan Ruan. There are two major categories of the editions of The Selections of Parallel Prose, original editions from Kang of Hehe＇s family school, and proofread editions by Xian Tan.
