The Source of the Impulsive Expansion of Militarism——The Formation and Harm of Japan's “Continental Policy”

探究近现代日本史,有三个问题应该重点思考。第一,500年来,西方统治世界的战略为什么是围绕着欧亚大陆展开?第二,日本近代的"大陆政策"与西方的欧亚大陆观的关系是什么?第三,日本的神道意识形态与日本的扩张主义的关系是什么?由于历史原因,日本的"大陆政策"与西方的欧亚大陆观之间,存在着既相互矛盾又相互利用的关系,而支配日本扩张主义的神道意识形态源远流长,至今未得到国际社会清醒的批判与清理,从而依然对当今的世界和平构成严重威胁。对此,我们应有足够的警惕。

To explore the modern Japanese histor~ there are three issues which merit careful attention. First, why did the West focus its world dominance strategy on the Eurasian continent in the last 5o0 years？ Second, what is the relationship between Japan＇s ＂continental policy＂ in the modern history and the Western concept of Eurasian continent？ Third, what is the relationship between the Japanese Shinto ideology and the Japanese expansionism？ Due to historical reasons, Japan＇s ＂continental policy＂ and the Western concept of Eurasian continent are contradictory as well as useful to each other. The Shinto ideology, which supports the Japanese expansionism, has a long history and is yet to be criticized and cleared out by the international community. It still poses a serious threat to world peace now. For this reason, we should have enough vigilance.
