随着国内公共艺术的兴起与发展,各界对公共艺术的关注度不断升温,对于＂公共艺术＂概念的讨论也一直没有间断过,尽管如此,＂公共艺术＂概念仍没有定论。公共艺术,简而言之就是公共空间中的艺术,如果光从这一点看,会带来很多歧意,例如将公共空间的一些毫无公共意识、没有品质的雕塑归为公共艺术,歪曲了其本义;公共艺术多为政府主导的,尤其是中国很多地方政府在城市建设过程中,

The article discusses what are public art and ＂Place-making＂ and their relationship. Through case studying, the article points out that public art is the art that solves the public problems through art language and way and place-making is where public art＇s values are and where public starts and belongs to. It also presents how place-making works and its evaluation system. The author tries to point out that place-making is not only to solve the current problems of public participation, environment improvement, but also reflect the value orientation of public participation--consciousness. Therefore, place-making will be constant topic of public art.
