摘要
本文主要采用行动研究的方法,以某高职高专院校一年级新生为研究对象,研究了以网络异步交互工具提高学生英语表达能力的可行性和有效性。研究结果表明,在两轮行动研究中,学生在第二轮行动中参与网络话题讨论的发帖数和回帖数大幅度增加,参与度与同侪互动明显提高;经过两轮行动研究后,高、中、低三组不同英语水平的学生在讨论帖中表现出,在词汇复杂性、句子长度、使用连接词的多样性等方面都有明显的进步;口语前后测成绩对比显示,大多数学生的语言表达能力得到了明显提升。
By adopting action research (AR) as the research methodology and taking the freshmen majoring in animal medicine in a Higher Vocational College (HVC) as research subjects, this study aims to explore the possible use of asynchronous discussions as a teaching aid to foster English productive skills on the part of HVC students. The research has the following findings : ( 1 ) the number of the students' postings and their replies to their peers are greatly increased in the second round of AR, which indicates that they have participated in the online topic discussions and interacted with their peers more actively in the second round of AR ; (2) in the second round of AR, students of three types of proficiency have achieved different degrees of progress in terms of the complexity of vocabulary, the length of sentences and the varieties of conjunctions in their postings. Most of the students make progress in their productive skill of speaking.
