[ Purposes ] This paper aims at customizing a useful LaTeX template for scientific journals to improve the editorial quality and efficiency, and to help authors write high quality papers. [ Methods ] An advanced concept is proposed to customize a LaTeX template for scientific journals. By comparing with the other templates, the advantages of the current one are introduced. [ Findings ] The LaTeX template designed by the concept is useful and easy for authors to typeset their papers, and it also improves the editorial quality and efficiency. [ Conclusions ] Customizing a useful LaTeX template is important for scientific journals. It not only improves the editorial quality and efficiency ,but also helps authors write high quality papers.
