笔墨引领时代——新时期中国画艺术发展的新命题

Brushwork Guides the Times: New Proposition of Chinese Painting in New Era

石涛提出的"笔墨当随时代",成为呼唤中国画艺术与时俱进、变革创新的名言而广为流传,傅抱石先生"思想变了,笔墨就不能不变"的观点,可谓对先贤石涛"笔墨当随时代"的进一步注解。新的历史时期,文化艺术发展日新月异,因此,我们或不应再满足于"笔墨当随时代"的过往,而应开启"笔墨引领时代"的新篇章。"笔墨引领时代"符合中国画艺术的本质精神,也应该作为中国画艺术创作者的信念与追求,而且从中国画观众艺术客体来看,"笔墨引领时代"才能产生更大的观看价值。

Shi Tao＇s proposition that brushwork should go with the times has been widely spread and has become the impetus for promoting Chinese painting to advance, reform, and innovate with the times. Mr. Fu Baoshi＇ s statement that when thought changes, the brushwork must change was a further interpretation for Shi Tao＇ s proposition. In new historical period, culture and art also develops day by day. Therefore, we should not stand still in the period of ＂brushwork goes with the times＂, but should open a new chapter in which brushwork guides the times. That brush- work guides the times fits the essential spirit of Chinese painting art, and should be taken as the belief and pursuit for Chinese painters. In addition, viewed from the object of Chinese painting audiences, that brushwork guides the times could produce more values for watching.
