中国图书馆学研究应该确认自我价值自觉,拒绝维护西方中心的一元论价值标准。这就需要承续中国古代图书馆学传统,并在承续传统的基础上追求时代更新、谋求自强发展。后者既包括学习西方先进图书馆学思想的充实自觉,又包括基于当下中国本土图书馆工作的实践自觉。

The study of Chinese library science should confirm self-worth consciousness and refuse to maintain the monism value standard of western center theory. For this purpose, we need inherit the tradition of Chinese ancient library science and seek the renewal of an era and self-reinforcing development on the basis of inheriting the tradition. Seeking the development not only includes the substantial consciousness of learning advanced western library science thought but also the practical consciousness based on the present work of Chinese libraries.
