Management and Mode Application of IBM High Performance Computer in Southwest Regional Meteorological Center

为了满足西南区域气象中心数值模式对高性能计算资源的需求,四川省气象局建设了IBM Flex P460高性能计算机系统,该系统为西南区域气象中心数值预报系统的业务运行和研发提供了稳定可靠的高性能计算和存储资源,同时带动区域中心其他省份的计算能力和资料共享质的飞跃。本文首先介绍了系统架构和管理方法,然后将系统扩容过程进行了详细分析,最后介绍了业务模式应用情况。

In order to meet the demand of the Southwest Regional Meteorological Center numerical model for high performance computing resources,Sichuan Provincial Meteorological Bureau has constructed IBM high performance computer system. This system provides adequate and reliable high performance computing and storage resources for the business operation and development of the Southwest Regional Center numerical prediction system. IBM high performance computer system has greatly enhanced the computing capacity and data sharing ability of other provinces in Southwest Regional Meteorological Center. This paper first introduces the system structure and management method,and then the system expansion process is analyzed in detail. Finally,this paper will introduce the application of business mode.
