《尚书》是我国传世文献中最古老的一部典籍,包含着丰富的大禹文化,而大禹治水就是其中最重要的内容。大禹带领众人用疏导的方法治理洪水并取得了成功,在这个过程中表现出勇于担当、忠于职守、敢于创新、善于团结的精神。禹定九州包含着丰富的内容,在历史、文化等方面具有重要意义。在大禹的人际交往圈里,君明臣忠妻贤,这也从侧面反映了大禹具有高贵的品质。《史记》大量引述《尚书》的内容,传承并拓展了《尚书》中的大禹文化。大禹文化处于中华文化的源头地位,今人当大力弘扬大禹文化。
