On English Reading Teaching in Higher Vocational Colleges

高职院校学生英语阅读能力较弱一直困扰着英语教学,制约着学生英语综合能力的提高。文章分析了其中原因,并从提升学生自信心、阅读材料选择、授课方法以及课堂氛围营造到英美文化导入等方面进行了探讨。

students of vocational college lack the interest of reading, which results in low reading level and re- stricts English teaching. The causes are analyzed in the article, it also explores the ways of solving these problems such as inspiring self-confidence, carefully choosing reading material, improving teaching methods and strengthen- ing the introduction of different cultures.
