Verification of XU Te-li’s Working as a Survey of Hunan Education

徐特立留法勤工俭学期间,湖南省政府曾委任他担任教育考察员。一些研究者认为,徐特立未接受委任。经查阅湖南《大公报》等史料,证明徐特立虽然最初拒绝接受委任,但最终还是担任了教育考察员一职,先后考察法国、德国、意大利及比利时的教育状况,并著文向省府建言,或发表于省内外报刊。
