近代通儒王韬研究中值得关注的一些问题——兼及《王韬全集》编纂的设想

Some Noteworthy Issues Related to Research on Wang Tao,the Profound Confucian Scholar in Modern History and Some Insights into the Editing of Collected Works of Wang Tao

八十年来王韬研究热点更迭、区域轮动,取得了丰硕的成果,体现了其世界意义和可持续发展。但总体而言,研究存在着成果少见交流、文献互不共享以及重复研究、各执一说、缺乏系统等现象,需要在国学西学研究的并进、悬疑问题的解决、热点问题的深入、学术空白的填补、未发之覆的揭示以及文人生态圈的考察、当下意义的挖掘等方面继续推进。而目前王韬研究若要取得更多的突破在很大程度上受王韬著作文本大都未经整理出版、以原始状态分散于海内外各藏书机构、获见不易的限制,因此,编纂《王韬全集》为学界所期待。《王韬全集》的编纂是基础性、前提性的大工程,当以内容的集成性、权威性和编纂体例的创新性为目标,汇总相关学术文献为一编,展现王韬著作和人生的完整形态,为王韬研究更全面深入地开展提供信实可据的文本和方便取资的文献。

In the past eighty years, research on Wang Tao has enjoyed popularity covering different topics and various areas, yielding substantial results, which indicates that the research is of global significance and boasts sustainable development. But in general, there are such problems as the lack of communication among scholars about their academic achievements, documents Without being shared, repetitive research, each schol- ar sticking to his own view, and lack of systematic research. To ~o1~ the problems, we need to integrate both Chinese ancient civilization and Western learning, solve difficult problems, study hot topics further, fill in ac- ademic gaps, explore unsung stories, look into the eco-system of men of letters and reveal the implications to the current society. To date, it is not easy to make a breakthrough concerning research on Wang Tao, for most of his works have not been edited and published, original editions of his works were collected by different li- braries and institutions home and abroad, and hence it is difficult to get access to his works, which, in turn, indicates that it is of great necessity to edit and publish Collected Works of Wang Tao. The editing and publish- ing of Collected Works of Wang Tao is a huge project, with the goal of being integrated and authoritative in content and being innovative with its editing system. It should also include relevant academic documents and exhibit the complete works of Wang Tao as well as his life story, so as to provide credible texts and convenient literature for further study on Wang Tao.
