兽医信息学是一门应用信息科学、工程学和计算机技术来支持兽医学教学、研究和实践应用的学科。兽医信息学在将来的兽医诊疗、执业兽医的培训和临床研究中将是一个关键的学科,将会在探索和增加兽医临床教学和实验室数据的价值中起重要的作用,同时也将为兽医学的发展做出重要贡献。本文将介绍兽医信息学相关数据库的获取和完善,以及在教学和临床诊疗中的应用,并对将来的发展和应用进行了展望。

Veterinary Informatics is a discipline which is applied to the teaching, research and practice of veterinary medi- cine by applying information science, engineering, and computer technology. Veterinary informatics is a key subject in veterina- ry diagnosis and treatment, veterinarian training and clinical research of veterinary medicine. It will play an important role in exploring and increasing the value of veterinary clinical teaching and laboratory data, and will also make important contributions to the development of veterinary science. In this paper, we introduced the acquisition and improvement of the relevant database of veterinary informatics, and the application in the teaching and clinical diagnosis. And last the development and application in future were prospected.
