依法治校是依法治国的重要组成部分,是贯彻落实党和国家"四个全面"战略布局、加快推进高等教育现代化建设的具体实践,也是大学加快治理体系和治理能力现代化建设、实现自身科学发展的必然要求。依法治校必须牢牢把握和体现办学方向、领导体制、制度体系、行政管理和学术自由的中国特色。在推进依法治校的进程中,着力培养大学治理主体的法治意识、法治思维,营造校园法治文化和法治精神,不断提高领导干部依法治校的能力。

Managing university affairs in accordance with the law is an important constituent of administering a country according to law; it is a concrete practice for the implementation of the strategic layout of ＂Four Comprehensives,＂ and speed-up of modernization of higher education. At the same time it is also a basic requirement for the modernization and the rule of law of the university management system and management ability to achieve scientific development for itself. Managin accordance with the law must adhere to the guiding principle for running school, g university affairs in leadership system, legal system, administration and academic freedom with Chinese characteristics. Cultivating the main body＇s awareness and mindset of law, fostering legal culture and the spirit of rule of law in campus as well as enhancing leading cadre＇s capacity in running the school in line with law are essential in this effort.
