The Influence of Director Wei Desheng on Current Taiwan Film

台湾电影一直以来都在华语电影中扮演着十分重要的角色,但自上世纪90年代以来却持续呈现出一种低迷状态,这一现象在一部文艺片《海角七号》横空出世之后逐渐有所改变。台湾电影正在形成一股崭新的潮流,而魏德圣以及其作品恰恰在这股潮流之中充当了先锋兵和弄潮儿这一角色。台湾当下电影在继承台湾电影过去宝贵品质的基础之上正在朝着一种新的方向不断蓬勃发展。

Taiwan films have always been playing an important role in Chinese film industry. However, since the 1990s, it continued showing a slump, which changed gradually after the literary film ＂Cape No 7＂ was born. Taiwan film is forming a new trend in which Wei Desheng with his works just plays the role of major pioneers. Taiwan film on the basis of inheriting the past precious qualities is booming development toward a new trend.
