The cultural inheritance of Chinese manual skill have four aspects of enlightenment significance. Firstly, from the perspective of cultural diversity correct understanding manual skill, embodies the un-derstanding level of an era, is the theoretical and legal basis of protection and inheritance of manual skill. Secondly, folk handcraft arts have across time-space aesthetic value and artistic charm, deep understanding manual skill from the perspective of non-material cultural heritage protection, shows the creativity of a nation and the sustainable development of culture. Thirdly, introducing the ＆quot;folk wisdom＆quot;into design teaching, to improve the contemporary social cognition for integrity and historical continuity of the Chinese culture, to strengthen the cultural self-consciousness and cultural identity of the Chinese nation, has important theoretical value and practical significance. Fourthly, the inheri-tance of skill, is the inheritance and carrying forward of Chinese traditional humanistic thought, hu-manistic spirit and humanistic feelings, the folk manual skill is vivid embodiment of traditional Chi-nese excellent culture.
