Health alliance is an important policy of healthcare reform in China to balance the contradiction between health demand and supply and to decrease the rapid growth of health expenditures by integrating and sharing health resources among different level of medical institutes. It is also the development and reform trends in international communities. Managed care organization in America and NHS in United Kingdom are expected to promote medical quality and reduce medical cost at the same time. Health alliance mode is an emerging organization in China which can he considered to get some experience from other countries.
