Ethnic Socialization: Direct- Indirect Information Transmission and Its Measurement

父母向子女传递民族社会化信息的方式,可能既有直接的方式,也有间接的方式。其传递方式、信息类型等存在年龄差异,但总体而言,文化社会化信息被传递最多、其次是偏见准备信息。此外,传递方式的特点影响着研究者所使用的研究方法。对直接信息的测量主要是纸笔测验和访谈法;对间接信息的测量主要采用观察法。未来的研究需要拓展对民族社会化的信息传递者及载体的研究,发展对间接传递的民族社会化信息的测量工具等。

The way of ethnic socialization＇ s transmission from parents to their children, may have both direct and indirect, which transfer mode, information types are vary from age. But overall, what transmitted most is cultural socialization, followed by preparation for bias. In addition, research methods used by researchers are influenced by the features of transfer ways. Measurement methods of direct message is primarily written tests and interviews; while measurement method of indirect message is mainly observation. Future study should both expand the study on message transmitters and carriers, and develop measuring tools for indirect transmission of ethnic -racial socialization.
