On Wang Tongling's View on Japan

王桐龄一生数次东渡日本,留学、考察时间长达数十年,为中国人忽视日本的研究大声疾呼。他在日本多年,对日本有着详细的考察,迄今人们对其赴日经历众说纷纭。文章利用中日两国的相关史料,试图勾勒出他几次赴日的详细经过,并以此为轴详细考察他的日本观。

Wang Tongling had been to Japan for several times for learning and studying for decades. He attempts to arouse more Chinese scholars＇ attention to study Japan. His experiences in Japan allow him to have detailed research upon this country. Considering there are still many versions of stories about his life in Japan, this study tends to depict the detailed story of his visits in Japan, with the historical records in both China and Japan. This is also for the purpose of observing his view upon Japan.
