Talking about my “Code Viewpoint”for geotechnical engineering

本文在阐明规范权威性,必须尊重和遵守的同时,指出规范也有局限性。应用规范者应深入理解规范总结的科学原理和基本经验,不要盲目套用,陷入迷信;制订规范者应立足国内,放眼国际,加强专题研究和工程经验总结。全文用大量例子说明了笔者的观点。

While it is expounded that the authority of the codes should be respected and observed, it is also pointed out that the codes have their limits. The persons who use the codes should deeply understand the scientific principles and the basic experience summarized from the codes, and should not use blindly to sink into superstition. The persons who draw up the codes should remain in an erect position at home and scan widely international, and should strengthen the special subject study and summarize the engineering experience. A large number of cases are presented to illustrate the author＇ s viewpoints.
