Objective To evaluate the applicability of the main methods for determining the position of vehicle in collision. Method The key points of each method were summarized in theory and examined in real cases. Results Mark analysis was applicable to most accidents but failed in some conditions. In contrast, video and image analysis will help the investigators come to an accurate conclusion if some process of the accident has been captured. Conclusion Different methods should be integrated in re-constructing the traffic accident scene.
