摘要
从历史的维度考察"苏式教育",可以概括为重仁、崇文、经世、有容四个特点。重仁,即中华民族一些有关家国情怀和人类关怀的思想,直接或间接与苏州有关;崇文,即指苏州文化中的重文、乐文和擅文特点;经世,是指苏州教育的现实关切和务实精神;有容,是指对教育新事物的敏感、接纳和包容,不断实现自身内涵的新陈代谢和推陈出新。
From a historical perspective, the characteristics of the Suzhou-style Education can be summarized into "emphases on benevolence, arts, practicality, and inclusiveness". Emphasis on benevolence, or the thought of loving one's own hometown and nation originated somehow from Suzhou. Emphasis on arts means that the culture of Suzhou values, enjoy and perform well in arts. Emphasis on practicality means that the education of Suzhou has concerns for reality and pragmatism. Emphasis on tolerance means that the Suzhou-style education is sensitive to new things, ready to tolerate them and assimilate them for upgrading and self-innovation.
