Surveying and mapping work runs through the whole process of urban planning management and construction, providing stand-ardized and scientific data basis.Thus it plays a supervisory and management role in urban planning and construction.Accordingly, this paper analyzed and illustrated the importance and the necessity of surveying and mapping work in the work of urban construction.Further-more, this paper elaborated as well as analyzed the planning and supervisory measurement.
