This article states that how the Intemet impacts on archives management in institutions of higher education and challenges that institutions are confronted with. Based on this background, this article puts forward the developing strategy for archives management in institutions of higher education. The article considers that archives managers should actively learn about and use Internet technologies in order to deal with the great shock brought by the Internet and they should put forward corresponding ideas and strategies to archives management.
