社会对于工程的否定性建构——以山西保矿运动为例

Negative Constructionof the Society on Engineering:A Case Study of the Shanxi Mine Defense Movement

社会建构工程是工程社会建构论的基本结论。本文提供社会对工程的否定性建构的一个案例,在简述了晚清山西保矿运动发生的背景及过程的基础上,重点论证三个问题:其一,山西保矿运动之所以能够成功,缘于山西特殊的表里山河、相对封闭的地理环境及近代化风气未开的独特舆情;其二,山西保矿运动的意义在于催生了山西第一个民间资本工业企业,为辛亥革命在山西的响应准备了舆情,人民广泛参与了变革开放进程;其三,民间民族工业在中国的命运之所以艰辛坎坷,是由中国传统的官工业传统及外国强大资本势力的双重挤压造成的。基于上述问题的分析论证,对于理解中国近代化历程的社会特质、理解工程与社会的交互建构关系,以及理解今天山西的煤炭资源整合提供历史学及社会学视角。

Technological system is constructed by the society. This article provides a case study with the Mine Defense Movement happened in the Qing dynasty in Shanxi. After describing briefly the background and its process, this article discusses several important issues on this movement.First, thefactors leading to the success; second, the significance of the Movement;last, the reasons resulting inthe miserable pathsof the industry financed bycivilian industry.This article shows the historical and sociological view for understanding the mutual construction ofengineering and societyand helps us to understand the integrationof coal resource going on in Shanxi.
