Effects of Na_2CO_3 Stress on Root Growth and Root Activity in Sugar Beet Seedlings

摘要 以甜菜品种KWS0143为供试材料,采用盆栽试验,设4个土壤Na2CO3浓度处理(0、4、8和12g/kg,分别以CK、A、B和C表示),分析Na2CO3胁迫对甜菜幼苗生长、根系活力的影响。结果表明,随着盐碱浓度的增加,土壤电导率显著升高,土壤p H显著增大;与对照相比Na2CO3胁迫甜菜幼苗的出苗率下降幅度分别为3.7%、13.9%、25.2%,根系的长度、表面积、根体积以及根系活力先增大后减小,A处理甜菜幼苗根系的长度、表面积、根体积以及根系活力均显著高于对照,而B和C处理甜菜幼苗根系的长度、表面积、根体积以及根系活力显著受到抑制(P<0.05),说明低浓度的盐碱促进了甜菜幼苗的生长,提高了根系活力。 In order to analyse the effects of Na2CO3 on growth and root activity of sugar beet seedlings,we had set four concentrations of NaECO3 (CK,4,8 and 12g/kg in soil,represented as CK,A, B, C) , and sugar beet KWS0143 was used as the material. The results showed that with the increasing concentrations of NaECO3 in soil,soil pH and electrical conductivity increased significantly ( P 〈 0.05 ). The seedling emergence rate of sugar beet showed a reduction of 3.7%, 13.9% and 25.2%, respectively. Seedlings root length, surface area, root volume and root activity showed firstly increased and then decreased. Seedling root length, surface area, root volume and root vigor were significantly higher than those of control in treatment A, but they was significantly suppressed in treatments B and C (P 〈 0.05). It indicated that low concentration of saline-alkali can promote the growth of the sugar beet seedlings, and improve the root activity.
