《论语》的文化维度与翻译策略

Cultural Dimensions of The Analects and the Translation Strategies

尽管文化维度论已经成为文化研究的一个主要话题,但却很少在《论语》文化翻译研究中得到足够重视。根据《论语》英译现状,以五个译本为个案分析,从四个层面探讨了《论语》的文化维度及其英译的传播问题。试图论证在文化崛起的语境下探讨《论语》文化维度的翻译意义在于使其具有国际文化特征的文化内容获得西方读者的认同。

Although cultural dimension theory has become the major topic in cultural studies, it＇s paid less attention in the field of translation studies. Based on the analysis of five English versions of The Analects;, this paper discusses the cultural dimensions and spreading of The Analects to demonstrate that the discussion of cultural dimensions under the context of cultural rise can help make the cultural content with international cultural features in The Analects successfully accepted in the western culture.
